How to build an Employer-Ready Resume
Description
This workshop gives students a clear, confidence-building introduction to creating strong, employer-ready resumes. It will walk through resume structure, tailoring strategies, and how to use job description and O*NET keywords to write impactful, summary of qualifications and accomplishment-based bullet points. By the end of this workshop, students will understand how to present their skills in a way that aligns with employer expectations and increases their chances of getting interviews

You’ll learn how to build a strong, employer‑ready resume, including how to structure your sections, write accomplishment‑based bullet points, and tailor your resume using job descriptions and O*NET keywords.
- Do I need to bring anything?
Bring a draft resume if you have one. If not, no problem—students can start from scratch using the templates provided.
- Is this workshop for beginners?
Yes. Whether you’ve never written a resume or want to improve your current one, the workshop is designed to meet you where you are.
- Will I get a template I can use after the workshop?
Yes. You’ll receive students‑ready, fill‑in‑the‑blank templates you can continue using and customizing for future job applications.
